Female Japanese Pitcher Will Be An Outlaw!

No, not an outlaw because she is doing something wrong. Eri Yoshida will be the Chico Outlaws' knuckleball pitcher this coming season. The Chico Outlaws play in the Golden Baseball League, which have had much baseball celebrities like Jose Canseco, or Ricky Henderson. But now, GBL will introduce it's first female pitcher. But that isn't the only shocking thing about Yoshida. She just graduated high school, is 5'1", 18 yrs old, Japanese, and female; and now will be playing alongside older, male ballplayers this Summer. It is definitely and exciting story that has gathered national and international press. We will see how she winds up against the other players in the league, but manager Garry Templeton is very impressed with her thus far.  Last Friday, I was at press conference that introduced Yoshida as a pitcher on the team. There will definitely be more stories to come.
