Donkey Derby and Gold Nugget Parade

Magalia and Paradise, California were hootin' and hollerin' for Gold Nugget Days. This small town event gets the communities all excited for the spring season. The days activities started with a Donkey Derby, in which competitors race donkeys through a course. This isn't an easy task, as the donkeys usually become quite stubborn at the end where obstacles have been set up. It is really fun to watch. After the race, the town was treated to a parade. Everyone likes to come out and watch. And today, the weather was perfect for the event.
